Lee Hornberger is an expert on changes in the mechanical properties of plastics due to manufacturing processes.Her current research is on the performance of recycled plastics relative to new materials. Prior to joining the faculty of Santa Clara University in 1992, she was a plastics specialist for several Bay Area companies including: Apple Computer, Acurex Corporation, Hewlett Packard, Raychem and IBM. Dr. Hornberger has a BSME from Santa Clara University, a MS from MIT and a Ph.D from the University of Utah.

Tim Hight is an expert in the design of mechanical systems and components. He teaches design in both the graduate and undergraduate Engineering schools. His research interest include the mechanical performance of recycled packaging materials, the design limitations of recycled plastics, finite element analysis and solid modeling. He is active in the ASME Design Theory and Methodology Committee. He has consulted for several Bay Area firms including IBM. FMC Lockheed and NASA. Dr. Hight has a BSME from Cal-Tech, and a MS and Ph.D from Stanford.
